Summer Moonlit Movie Series

When: June 7, July 19 and August 9 @ 7:00 p.m. (movie starts around 8:45 p.m./dusk)

Where: Klopfenstein Amphitheater at Lowe Park (4500 10th St, Marion)

Cost: Free 

Featured Movies: The Greatest Showman (June 7), Wreck it Ralph 2 (July 19) and How to Train Your Dragon 3 (August 9)

Join the Marion Parks and Recreation Department for some free outdoor family fun at sunset. Come early to get your seats (bring your own blanket or lawn chair) and then enjoy free kids activities and entertainment starting at 7 p.m. 

Field of Dreams Movie Night

When: June 8 @ 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

Where:Veterans Memorial Stadium (950 Rockford Rd SW, Cedar Rapids)

Cost: Free 

Featured Movie: Field of Dreams

Watch this iconic movie on the biggest TV in Cedar Rapids, at the Kernels! Fans are encouraged to bring them blankets and watch the game from the field. Sorry no lawn chairs allowed. The Kernels concessions will be open so outside food and beverage and coolers will not be permitted.

FREE!!! Kids Movie Summer Series

When: June 10 – August 23; Monday-Friday @ 10:00 a.m.

Where: Collins Road Theatres (1462 Twixt Town Rd, Marion)

Cost: Free for kids. $1/adult (18+)

The FREE!!! Kids Movie Summer Series starts Monday June 10. We still have several weeks uncommitted for sponsors, so if you know of a business that would be interested in hosting a week of the largest kid show in the county then have them contact me ASAP! Bring the whole family to the farm’s amphitheater for a movie beginning at sunset. Feel free to come early and play with all the cute farm animals. Popcorn and drinks will be available.

Paola, originally from Puerto Rico, came to Iowa to study at Iowa state University where Ryan, an Iowa native, won her heart and they’ve been married for five years. They now call Cedar Rapids home and work as landscape designers in North Liberty. They love watching their toddler, Olivia, grow and are excited to see her as a big sister in the Fall of 2019.
