4th of July Festivals and Fireworks in the Corridor {2017}

The 4th of July is just around the corner!! We’ve compiled a list of 4th of July Festivals and 4th of July Fireworks in the Cedar Rapids area and surrounding Corridor to help you make the most of your Independence Day weekend!! Anamosa Fireworks Celebration  |  July 3rd from 6:30 p.m.-Dusk

Anamosa’s Celebration includes food from the Rotary food stand beginning at 6:30 p.m., children’s activities from 7:00-8:30 p.m., and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. 

Amana Colonies Community 4th of July Picnic in the Park  |  7:30 a.m.-Dusk in Middle Amana Park

The Amana Colonies Picnic in the Park includes festivities such as breakfast in the park, baseball, a potluck dinner, dogs on skis, and fireworks! Get more info here.

Central City 4th of July Festival  |  July 4th from 6:45 a.m.-Dusk

Central City’s 4th of July Festival includes a Hero’s Run, Dad’s Belgian Waffle Breakfast, parade at 10:00 a.m., chalk the walk, live music, fireworks, and more. Click here for the full schedule.

Coralville 4th Fest  |  July 1st-4th in S.T. Morrison Park

The 4th Fest has tons of events going on from the 1st through the 4th. Highlights include:

  • Carnival on the 1st through the 4th
  • Free concerts on July 3rd and 4th
  • Parade at 10:00 a.m. on July 4th
  • Lots of 4th of July activities including bounce houses, games, food, and more!

Firecracker 4th Antique Show  |  July 3rd-4th at the Amana Colonies RV Park & Event Center

Authentic antiques, primitives, Americana, Native American, folk art, stoneware, mid-century modern, advertising, jewelry, textiles, art glass, tools, toys all on-site and the Amana Colonies RV Park & Event Center, July 3-4!

Iowa City Jazz Festival  |  June 30th-July 2nd in Downtown Iowa City

Head downtown Iowa City for a weekend of live Jazz music, delicious food, and a fireworks show over the Pentacrest on July 2nd! Click here for the full schedule.

Lincoln Highway Nitty Gritty  |  July 4th from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in Mt. Vernon

Mount Vernon’s historic First Street will be closed to traffic for the day, creating a Pedestrian Mall with an outdoor food court and antique vendor booths set up and down three blocks of Mount Vernon’s Uptown Business District.

Marengo 3rd of July Celebration  |  July 3rd from 7:00 a.m.-Dusk

Marengo offers a full day of events, including a pancake breakfast, kids games, beer garden, parade at 6:30 p.m., street dance, and fireworks.

Monticello 4th of July Celebration  |  July 4th from 6:30 a.m.-Dusk in Monticello

Monticello offers a ton of 4th of July events, including a Firemen’s Breakfast, parade at 11:00 a.m., inflatables, food vendors, live music, and fireworks.

Shiloh’s Independence Day Celebration  |  July 3rd beginning at 7:00 p.m. @ the Shiloh Amphitheater in Kalona

Head to the Shiloh Amphitheater for live music beginning at 7:00 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Concessions are available and picnic baskets are welcome. Gates open at 5:00 p.m.

Wellman 4th of July Festival  |  July 4th all day

Bellman’s annual 4th of July Festival includes a kiddie parade at 9:30a.m., regular parade at 10:00 a.m., carnival games, food, live music, and fireworks. 

Williamsburg’s Salute to Freedom  |  July 4th from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.

Williamsburg’s annual Salute to Freedom includes a pancake breakfast, inflatables, food vendors, a parade at 5:00 p.m. around the square, fireworks, and more.
